Darryl Weissman, a litigator in Wolff & Samson’s Fidelity and Surety Group, represents a large number of sureties in a broad range of matters, including litigation involving construction issues and insurance coverage. He also litigates on behalf of corporations in connection with discrimination, contract and employment disputes.

Darryl’s extensive experience includes involvement in the following reported cases:

• Allied Mechanical & Plumbing Corp. v. Dynamic Hostels Housing Development Fund (62 B.R. 873 - 1986)
• Hutton Construction Co., Inc. v. County of Rockland, 52 F. 3d 1191 (2nd Circuit 1995)
• Tishman Westside Construction LLC v. ASF Glass, Inc. and RLI Insurance Company, 33 A.D. 3d 539 (N.Y.A.D. 1st Dep’t 2006)

He has written extensively on topics of surety and fidelity law over the past two decades. Many of Darryl’s articles are presented at conferences around the country. In addition, he served as chair of the surety program at the 2006 meeting of the Surety Claims Institute. He is the author of:

Darryl joined Wolff & Samson in 1990 and practices in the firm’s West Orange, N.J., and New York City offices. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Construction Litigation.
