David Hyman practices in the areas of health care and hospital law, mergers and acquisitions, domestic and international corporate counseling, executive compensation and information security law. 

David counsels public and private companies, boards of directors and audit committees on governance and regulatory matters, including Sarbanes-Oxley issues. He also works with international entities based in Europe and the Middle East and represents companies engaged in e-commerce and Internet technology. 

In the area of health and hospital law, David represents health care providers and suppliers, including hospitals, home health agencies, physician practice groups, and medical device and equipment manufacturers and suppliers. He provides counsel regarding regulatory, compliance, and fraud and abuse issues in New Jersey and New York, and represents health care clients before federal and state agencies. He also conducts compliance training and compliance investigations.

David served as counsel to the federally appointed monitor of Smith & Nephew, Inc., a manufacturer of hip and knee implant devices, and represents University Physician Associates of New Jersey, Inc., the faculty practice plan of New Jersey Medical School, including a major restructuring of the practice plan’s relationship with the medical school.

David is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Corporate Law and in New Jersey Super Lawyers. He has an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Active in several bar associations, David is a former vice chairman of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Committee on Legal Education and Admission to the Bar. He received his B.A., with distinction, from Rutgers University and his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law. He is the author of several publications in the health and information security fields.
