Joseph (“Drew”) Dickson is a Wolff & Samson litigator with more than 25 years of experience representing clients in the state and federal courts of New Jersey. He practices primarily in the areas of commercial and real estate litigation and is experienced in all phases of complex litigation for state and national clients. His practice also includes litigation on behalf of clients and third parties in bankruptcy court.

Drew served as a federal court-appointed special master in lengthy, complex matters involving multiple defendants. He is also requested by colleagues to act as mediator and arbitrator.

Drew handles and supervises litigation across the country for one of Wolff & Samson’s major health care clients and assists in the representation of the monitor appointed in connection with a deferred prosecution agreement. He also represents major real estate developers in connection with construction defect claims and other real estate matters asserted both by and against the developers.

Drew recently achieved favorable results in:

• A matter against an international conglomerate that unsuccessfully attempted to evict the firm’s client from its long-term lease
• A matter against a national nursing home chain that involved the enforcement of a settlement agreement in Delaware Federal Court
• The defense of a national company facing a claim of age discrimination
• The settlement, after an extended trial, of a claim for breach of lease against a New Jersey law firm

Drew served the Palisades Medical Center in several capacities, including as a board member for the center and its for-profit subsidiary, as well as chairing its Human Resources Committee. As an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University, Drew taught a course on labor law to graduate students.

Drew graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he served as managing editor of the Law Review. He has an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest ranking of both ethical standards and legal ability that Martindale awards.
