Nicole Martin is an associate in the Health Care and Hospital Group of Wolff & Samson. She advises clients on a wide range of regulatory compliance and corporate matters, including Federal Anti-Kickback Law, Stark Law and HIPAA compliance; Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and reimbursement; physician practice employment agreements; and state professional and facility licensure and practice structures. In addition, she represents health care professionals in administrative litigation matters. Her clients include hospital and health care systems, health care professionals, physician groups and ambulatory care facilities. Nicole also served as counsel to the federally appointed monitor of Smith & Nephew, Inc., a manufacturer of hip and knee implant devices.

Prior to joining the firm, Nicole was a legal and regulatory consultant with the Division of Aging and Community Services (DACS) at the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (NJDHSS) where she handled Division-wide operations for legal and regulatory affairs. While there, she drafted administrative rules and program policies and procedures, delivered compliance education and training seminars, and worked on several administrative law matters. Also, Nicole was the HIPAA Privacy Officer for both DACS and the NJDHSS' Division of Senior Benefits and Utilization Management, and participated on the committee that reviewed responses to an RFP for HIPAA compliance consulting services for the NJDHSS.

Nicole is the president of the Board of Directors of HiTOPS, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of adolescent health and well-being. She was also recently elected to participate in the HBA (Healthcare Businesswomen's Association) Metro Chapter 2010 Group Mentoring Program.
