Peter Simon practices in Wolff & Samson’s Corporate and Securities and Corporate Internal Investigations and Monitoring Groups. He advises clients on a variety of corporate issues, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial and financing transactions, corporate governance, and general representation of limited liability companies and closely held corporations. Peter also counsels clients on numerous aspects of internal compliance structures and policies relating to compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. His experience includes corporate monitoring of a division of an international orthopaedic device manufacturing company for 18 months pursuant to a deferred prosecution agreement with the federal government and conducting internal investigations of improper employee conduct.

Peter also works with the firm’s Financial Services Litigation and Investigations Group. His experience includes representation of major financial services firms and securities brokers/dealers in responding to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions by federal agencies and self-regulatory organizations, including the U.S. Department of Labor and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Prior to attending law school, Peter worked as an estimator and project manager for a general contracting company specializing in retail, commercial and historic renovation projects throughout New Jersey and New York. During law school, he served as judicial intern to U.S. District Court Judge John C. Lifland, District of New Jersey. 

In 2010, Peter was listed as a "Rising Star" in New Jersey Super Lawyers.
