Her focus includes copyright and trademark counseling, trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement, foreign trademark prosecution, trademark litigation before the federal courts, inter partes proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and Internet domain name disputes. Rachel is also regularly involved in the intellectual property and commercial aspects of corporate transactions with an emphasis on intellectual property due diligence. She also works on transactional matters in the areas of intellectual property licenses, assignments and settlement agreements. In addition to securing, protecting and enforcing clients’ intellectual property rights, she counsels clients on other intellectual property related matters, including trademark counterfeiting and enforcement, reviewing media and web sites for compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and various intellectual property issues. Rachel is also a registered patent attorney and has experience in counseling clients with patent matters. Rachel is active with the International Trademark Association (INTA). She was appointed to the INTA Geographical Indications Subcommittee of the Related Rights Committee which focuses on geographical indications, design rights and other related rights. Rachel is also an active member of the Essex County Bar Association. She is the Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Committee and an Executive Committee Member of the Young Lawyer's Section. In her spare time, Rachel is regularly involved in charitable work within the local community. She is an executive volunteer member of Dress for Success in Madison, New Jersey which is an organization that helps disadvantaged women by providing professional attire and the career development tools to help them get back into the work place. Rachel has assisted in coordinating clothing drives for Dress for Success and was appointed as a Committee Member for Dress for Success' 5K annual Power Walk. Rachel began her legal career with Tommy Hilfiger, U.S.A., Inc., where she gained experience in international trademark prosecution, anti-counterfeiting and enforcement. Prior to joining Wolff & Samson, Rachel worked in the intellectual property groups at World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. in Stamford, CT and Stryker, Tams & Dill, LLP, in Newark, NJ focusing on trademark and copyright prosecution enforcement and related intellectual property issues.
