Robert Hornby joined Wolff & Samson as a member of the firm's Litigation Group in June 2010. Robert, who has broad experience in all aspects of civil litigation in New York and New Jersey state and federal courts, practices primarily in the areas of product liability, banking, employment law, trusts and estates, franchise law, foreclosure and bankruptcy.
Among Robert's experience are the following:
- National coordinating counsel for a major telecommunications company’s asbestos cases
- Defended a major telecommunications company in a product liability case involving a transformer that allegedly started a fire
- Defended a large international corporation in a product liability case involving an allegedly defective milling machine
- Represented a chemical company in an arbitration relating to an employment dispute with a former CEO
- Represented a financial institution in various foreclosure and workout actions
- Coordinated the national subpoena compliance for a major VOIP company
Robert received his law degree cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree cum laude from the University of Arizona. He served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable David S. Baime, PJAD (ret.) in the New Jersey Appellate Division.
Prior to joining Wolff & Samson, Robert was an associate at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP.
