On April 9, 2008, Laurence M. Smith was a panelist at the ACTE PowerTalk Conference. The panel presented the legal perspective of The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act. The Act introduces a new offense, across the UK, for prosecuting companies and other organizations where there has been a gross failing, in the management of health and safety with fatal consequences.
